Chicken Shoot is a cute classic cartoon shooter game for kids under 12 years old, but anyone over 12 will probably get board with it very quickly.
During the game play you have to "pan" from side to side across the screen and up and down to find and shoot the chickens. There is no map or guide to let you know if someone has thrown an egg at you or a chicken is dive bombing you, so you have to be on your guard at all times and look everywhere for those pesky chickens. Keep a close eye on your ammunition too because there is no warning to let you know that you've ran out; reload as often as you can to avoid getting splattered with eggs and chickens.
As you advance through each level you'll get a different scenery backgrounds; from a typical farm to the Sahara Desert, and it does get a little harder as you go but concept remains the same; shoot everything you can!
There are several different modes you can choose for game play; arcade mode, classic mode, multiplayer and catch an egg. Once you select the mode you can choose from easy, medium or hard. The only difference between arcade and classic is that you are on a time limit so you need to get all the chickens before the time runs out. While in arcade mode, chickens will sometimes fly across the screen carrying signs with pictures of different types of guns. Should you shoot one of these chickens you get that gun to shoot the chickens with instead of your standard gun. In classic mode instead of guns you can earn more time.
The "Catch an Egg" mode is a little harder than the other game modes. You are the farmer in the barns chicken coop and you must catch the eggs coming down the shoot in your basket before they hit the ground. If you let too many eggs hit the ground, it's game over.
This game is great for younger kids to help them build their hand-eye coordination, but if you're an adult you will get board with the game very quickly.
